TLDR…We are are delaying the crowdsale and TGE slightly because something even bigger is coming. We’ll make final announcement of imminent crowdsale, TGE, and listing on Oct. 8.
The last few weeks have been both amazing and overwhelming; we’ve never been more excited about UTU or felt more love from around the world for our vision for better digital trust.
Our small team has been working around the clock to make everything happen over the past 6 weeks, adding new team members and partners around the world; growing our community on telegram from 250 to more than 3,000; being featured in Yahoo Finance, the CoinShares Blog, and various other influential media channels, building token sale momentum with all private sales selling out and pre-sales now oversubscribed. Read about more of our recent milestones.
Perhaps you’ll notice that we’ve not mentioned any exchange listing yet — this is complex work and governed by NDAs until the moment when it can be announced. It’s frustrating…we know…but good things are worth the wait. We are finalizing negotiations with a few exchanges — more soon!
We’ll be making an announcement about our crowdsale and TGE on Oct. 8. Thanks for your support and patience as we finalize all details for a massively exciting next step in our journey. We know you’ll be happy with the result.
At UTU we believe in a more human-friendly internet. We are pioneering digital models of decentralized trust built around human beings and how we naturally trust. UTU’s vision is to become the trust infrastructure of the entire internet, replacing anonymous star ratings, reviews, and scores as the de facto trust mechanisms of our digital lives. We do this in service of our Mission — To bridge the gap between how we trust in real life and how we are asked to trust online — to make the internet a safer, more trusted place to gather, share, work, and trade.
UTU is kiswahili for “Humanity.” It reminds us of our home in Kenya and for whom we build this project. We currently have a team of 40 at our HQ in Nairobi and R&D collaborations with the Agents, Interactions, and Complexity Group at the University of Southampton in the UK as well as the newly established UKRI Trusted Autonomous Systems Hub.
UTU and our subsidiaries have been featured variously in international media, including Pitchbook, NPR, TechCrunch, Analytics India, Aithority, Disrupt Africa, How We Made it in Africa, and others. We won the 2019 East Africa Regional Championship of the Pegasus Tech Ventures Startup World Cup and have been named a 2020 Hello Tomorrow Deep Tech Pioneer.
